Lead Field Service Technician - Commercial Roofing (Remote, US)

Lead field service training, inspections, and quality assurance for IKO commercial roofing installations across the United States. Support contractor education, workmanship standards, and warranty investigations through frequent site travel.

Apraksts

  • Lead training for on-roof quality inspections and in-shop instruction for new Technical Services staff
  • Act as IKO’s liaison with contractors supporting its US commercial roofing division
  • Inspect IKO warrantied installations to verify quality workmanship
  • Train and coach new Field Service Technicians in roof inspections and contractor instruction
  • Report trainee performance and development to the Technical Manager, Single Ply Systems
  • Coordinate with commercial contractors while inspecting active and completed roofing projects
  • Develop and deliver classroom and hands-on training on commercial products for current and prospective Registered Contractors
  • Prepare written inspection and quality assurance reports for internal and external customers
  • Partner with contractors and distributors on product education and promotion
  • Investigate warranty claims as needed
  • Represent IKO Commercial products at industry association events
  • Participate in internal meetings, company functions, and assigned training
  • Follow IKO health, safety, and vehicle policies
  • Handle additional responsibilities as assigned
  • Travel regularly to job sites, including potential overnight stays

Prasības

  • Five to seven years of direct, hands-on commercial roofing experience
  • Extensive experience training others in TPO and PVC single-ply roofing techniques based on established standards and practices
  • Background in roofing quality assurance and contractor-led roof inspections
  • Ability to interpret technical roofing documentation and specifications
  • Confidence demonstrating product applications hands-on or through formal presentations
  • Proven ability to train individuals and groups in single-ply roofing
  • Strong commitment to quality workmanship and durable customer relationships
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with contractors and explain the value of IKO commercial products
  • Flexibility when priorities and responsibilities change
  • Availability for flexible schedules, including nights and weekends
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to travel throughout the assigned territory, including possible overnight stays
  • Willingness to undertake frequent travel and site visits
