Associate Director of Data Platform Engineering
Lead Humana’s enterprise SQL Server and data platform strategy, overseeing governance, reliability, and modernization. Manage engineering teams and strategic technology initiatives.

- Set technical plans, architecture, and roadmaps for enterprise SQL Server and data platform services
- Establish and maintain engineering standards, governance, policies, and best practices
- Keep platforms available, scalable, reliable, secure, and performant
- Oversee data platform operations, automation, integrations, and tooling initiatives
- Lead and develop engineering teams, building accountability and continuous improvement
- Work with technology and business stakeholders on strategic platform initiatives
- Resolve complex technical issues and manage vendor relationships and cross-functional projects
- Advance modernization and service improvements across data platform engineering
- Develop and govern specifications for SQL Server products and services
- Evaluate compatibility and integration across interdependent technologies
- Maintain a cohesive platform architecture
- Lead managers or specialized professional associates
Prasības
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field
- Bring at least 6 years of technical experience in data engineering, database administration, platform engineering, or a related discipline
- Have at least 2 years of leadership or people management experience
- Have experience supporting and managing enterprise-scale SQL Server environments
- Have experience with data platform architecture, database technologies, automation, and system integrations
- Have experience creating engineering standards, governance models, and operational best practices
- Have experience leading technical projects and initiatives
- Demonstrate strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
- Have experience improving customer and business outcomes through technology solutions
- Have experience with large-scale data platform modernization initiatives
- Have cloud platform experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform
- Know automation, DevOps, and CI/CD practices
- Have experience working in complex enterprise environments
- Maintain home internet speeds of at least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload for home or hybrid work
- Be able to work in a dedicated space without ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information
