Senior Solutions Engineer – SonicWall | Ohio Hybrid
Support SonicWall’s cybersecurity sales organization through technical demonstrations, solution design, and partner enablement across Ohio. This hybrid, full-time role combines field work, remote or regional-office collaboration, and travel of up to 30%.

- Collaborate with Sales to advance technical engagement across the customer lifecycle
- Enable VAR, MSP, and MSSP partners with solution positioning, deployment guidance, and ongoing technical support
- Lead product demonstrations, proof-of-concept engagements, technical presentations, and whiteboard sessions
- Translate customer business objectives into practical technical recommendations and solution designs
- Coordinate with Product Management, Support, Marketing, and Solution Engineering teams
- Contribute to regional reporting and technical sales programs
- Develop trusted relationships with customers, partners, and other key stakeholders
- Apply technical expertise and sales judgment to support revenue growth
- Work mainly in the field, remotely, or from a regional office within the assigned territory
- Travel for up to 30% of the role

- Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical topics to technical and executive audiences
- Strong communication, objection-handling, whiteboarding, and solution-selling skills
- Effective organization and time-management capabilities
- Assess customer needs and develop appropriate technical solutions
- Influence and advise stakeholders on complex technical and business decisions
- Bachelor’s degree plus 6 or more years of related experience, master’s degree plus 3 or more years, Ph.D. plus 1 or more years, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- CISSP certification
- Background in pre-sales, technical support, professional services, or solution engineering within a cybersecurity vendor, channel partner, distributor, systems integrator, or enterprise setting
- Willingness to travel up to 30%
- Preferred Microsoft Azure Associate and/or AWS Associate certification
- Preferred SonicWall SNSA and SNSP certifications
- Preferred familiarity with HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOX, FERPA, CIPA, and GDPR
- Preferred experience with managed security and cloud security environments
- Experience with networking, firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, encryption, PKI, wireless networking, Active Directory, LDAP, SAML, Zero Trust, SASE, SSE, virtualization, Azure, and AWS
