Act as a primary contact for clients, media, influencers, and the agency
Lead projects from initial planning through delivery
Oversee messaging, press releases, pitch notes, and briefing documents
Advise on thought leadership opportunities
Create communications materials that strengthen client brands and leaders
Design amplification strategies spanning paid, earned, owned, and shared channels
Oversee hard-cost campaign budgets across several accounts
Define relevant KPIs and generate meaningful earned media coverage
Deliver informed assessments of communications risks
Build and sustain strong client partnerships
Coach and motivate a high-performing team within a psychologically safe environment
Develop and refine ideas to increase their scale, news value, and public visibility
Partner across departments while demonstrating strong communications practices
Keep current with culture, industry developments, PR, social and digital channels, and influencer programs

Three to five years of relevant public relations industry experience
Prior agency experience is preferred
Background in both consumer PR and corporate communications
Demonstrated media relations success and established relationships with key reporters
Sports industry experience or interest is an advantage
Strong presentation and communication abilities
Well-developed creative judgment
Established media relationships and the ability to develop new ones
Confidence creating PR programs for national consumer brands from briefing through reporting
Strong, confident client relationship management skills
Thorough knowledge of media relations and the current Canadian media landscape
Excellent project and time management skills
