Digital Accessibility Coordinator

  • Lead campus guidance on digital content accessibility compliance
  • Help advance university-wide accessibility strategy and initiatives
  • Create and deliver workshops, guides, and training for faculty, staff, and content creators
  • Work with IT, Strategic Sourcing, and Legal to assess vendors’ Accessibility Conformance Reports (ACRs/VPATs)
  • Test software and agree on remediation plans before purchasing decisions
  • Manage institution-sponsored automated and manual remediation work and its tracking
  • Guide community members on accessibility fixes
  • Brief leaders and committees on accessibility risks, compliance measures, and strategic priorities
  • Coordinate with the Student Disability Resource Center, Public Affairs, IT, and academic departments to remove digital barriers and improve accommodation workflows
  • Monitor remediation progress, assess scan results, and prepare regular compliance reports
  • Keep up with accessibility technology, legal decisions, federal rules, and established practices
  • Suggest improvements to digital communications and brand strategy
  • Complete other assigned duties

Талаптар

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree
  • Have at least three years of experience managing or implementing digital accessibility initiatives, document remediation, or related portfolios
  • Related experience may replace the education requirement on a year-for-year basis
  • Bring comprehensive knowledge of federal and state digital accessibility requirements, the ADA, WCAG, and related standards
  • Be able to remediate web pages, Microsoft Office files, PDFs, and multimedia
  • Be proficient with digital accessibility testing and review tools
  • Demonstrate strong facilitation and presentation skills
  • An IAAP certification (CPACC or WAS) or similar accessibility credential is preferred
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams is preferred
  • Experience in higher education is preferred
