VP, Corporate Controller

Lead GAAP accounting, consolidation, controls, and financial reporting for ENFRA’s energy infrastructure business. Manage accounting teams and provide analysis that supports executive financial decisions.

Description

  • Direct the company’s accounting operations.
  • Set accounting policies and standards for financial reporting, general ledger management, budgeting, financial systems, and controls.
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close activities.
  • Coordinate GAAP-compliant financial statements and regulatory filings.
  • Perform special financial analyses and present conclusions to executive leaders.
  • Establish internal controls and oversee related policy and procedure audits.
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll operations.
  • Assess US accounting standards and determine appropriate treatment for project transactions.
  • Oversee general ledger activities for profit recognition and consolidation across multistate, multi-entity specialty construction contractors.
  • Lead the Consolidation Accounting team and oversee staffing and organizational design.
  • Review general ledger entries and reconciliations for Integrated Solution Projects.
  • Direct transaction recording, account reconciliations, and exception resolution.
  • Assess and enhance accounting procedures and internal controls.
  • Manage profit recognition and consolidation close processes on monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles.
  • Issue and review consolidated financial statements, reports, schedules, and related statements on schedule.
  • Keep accounting policies and procedures documented.
  • Confirm deliverables meet current accounting standards.
  • Analyze accounting reports and implement reporting and process enhancements.
  • Deliver accurate financial information for executive decision-making.
  • Address questions from management and internal or external auditors.
  • Prepare annual audit schedules and support audits and tax filings.
  • Help manage relationships with independent auditors.
  • Meet local, state, and federal reporting obligations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • CPA certification is required.
  • At least 10 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in cost accounting.
  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills.
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication.
  • Proven relationship-building, collaboration, and communication abilities.
  • Strong leadership and people-management capabilities.
  • Results-oriented approach with the ability to lead changes that improve performance, services, and outcomes.
  • Careful attention to detail and willingness to manage multiple ongoing initiatives in a fast-paced setting.
  • Knowledge of the industry and the company’s competitors.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and take on duties beyond the core role when needed.
  • Experience with a Big Four accounting firm or in the construction industry is preferred.
  • CMA, CFMA or MBACMA, MBA, and/or construction or engineering industry experience is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel 0–5% to job sites and office locations.
  • Ability to perform physical work involving repetitive wrist, hand, and finger movements.
  • Ability to work in a noisy environment.
  • Ability to perform light to heavy work, including adjusting or moving objects weighing 20–100 pounds.
