- Examine case documents and relevant information
- Monitor proceedings before the Rio de Janeiro State Public Prosecutor’s Office (MPRJ)
- Follow case developments and complete the necessary legal diligences
- Prepare applications, petitions, and other submissions as required
- Evaluate whether a representation should be filed with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB)
- Assess the potential civil liability of the parties involved
- Evaluate legally appropriate options for reimbursement or compensation
- Update the client on case progress and actions taken
Requirements
- Law degree with active registration with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB)
- Proven experience in Criminal Law
- Experience with or working knowledge of proceedings before the Rio de Janeiro State Public Prosecutor’s Office (MPRJ)
- Knowledge of OAB disciplinary proceedings
- Knowledge of civil liability and compensation claims is an advantage
- Proactive, strategic, organized, and communicative working style
- Availability to monitor the matter on an ongoing basis
- Prior experience handling criminal representation, Public Prosecutor’s Office proceedings, and OAB ethical-disciplinary matters concurrently is an advantage
