Lead cloud-native infrastructure, developer tooling, and AI/ML framework development at Walmart. Build scalable software that supports fraud prevention, threat detection, and digital risk management.

Description

  • Lead the development and delivery of scalable platform capabilities spanning infrastructure, tooling, and AI/ML frameworks
  • Manage the complete software lifecycle, from design and implementation through deployment, monitoring, and maintenance
  • Review system designs for quality, feasibility, and architectural consistency
  • Create AI-driven applications and integrate machine-learning components
  • Mentor engineers and help shape technical decisions
  • Work with stakeholders to turn complex problems into technical requirements and measurable success metrics
  • Advance continuous improvement through code reviews, innovation, and adoption of emerging technologies
  • Develop solutions for Walmart’s safety, security, fraud prevention, threat detection, and digital risk management initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or a related field plus four years of software engineering or related experience, or six years of software engineering or related experience
  • Expertise designing cloud-native systems with microservices, containers, and automation
  • Proficiency with software design patterns, API design, and platform development
  • Experience across the software development lifecycle, including coding, testing, CI/CD deployment, and maintenance
  • Ability to lead design reviews, diagnose issues, and implement corrective actions
  • Experience integrating AI/ML components and building intelligent automation with multiple programming languages
  • Ability to mentor engineers and guide technical decisions
  • Experience defining metrics and improving engineering processes
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in a related field and two years of software engineering or related experience
  • Preferred: Familiarity with WCAG 2.2 AA, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility practices
