Description

Develop reliable, AI-enabled tooling for the Slack iOS application
Help feature engineers resolve complex problems through an agentic software development lifecycle
Create intelligent software-development tools and autonomous workflows
Embed AI agents into development pipelines through software factories and agentic automated testing
Design advanced developer workflows and intelligent agents for iOS engineering
Lead, mentor, and support the growth of iOS engineers
Establish rigorous standards for technical design and code quality
Own the team’s domain while contributing throughout Slack’s iOS codebase
Investigate Bazel cache misses and repair failed CI pipelines
Track and improve CI stability, TimeToMerge, and build-time performance metrics
Use intelligent automation to find and eliminate pipeline bottlenecks

Requirements

At least 10 years of experience building and maintaining complex iOS tooling across CI and CD
Advanced knowledge of Swift, Bazel, Python, and Xcode tooling
Practical experience with agentic SDLC workflows, including AI coding agents such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot Workspace, or custom LLM scripts
Experience automating pull-request creation, code reviews, and boilerplate refactoring
Ability to track and improve metrics including CI stability, TimeToMerge, and build time
Extensive familiarity with the Apple ecosystem, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and scripting with Python, Bash, or similar tools
A related technical degree is required
