Description

  • Shape voice, tone, and conversational patterns throughout Etsy’s end-to-end experience.
  • Make content patterns and glossaries implementation-ready and backed by design tokens.
  • Develop the content layer for Collage, Etsy’s design system.
  • Create component- and pattern-level content guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Studio on content frameworks, guidelines, and production-ready copy.
  • Design and maintain guidelines and prompt infrastructure for AI-generated copy.
  • Establish workflows and evaluation frameworks for AI content.
  • Help designers apply systems thinking through critiques, documentation, tooling, and office hours.
  • Advance content practice from string review to behavior governance.
  • Lead the content community of practice and support craft calibration.
  • Report to the Director of Content Design.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in content design.
  • A portfolio demonstrating systems thinking and strong content craft.
  • Systems-thinking ability with skill in identifying root causes.
  • A strong writing sensibility spanning tone, rhythm, and word choice.
  • Hands-on experience developing AI tooling, including skills, prompt libraries, plugins, and evaluation frameworks.
  • Experience converting guidelines into structured, retrievable resources such as style guides, rubrics, or documentation.
  • Comfort working through ambiguity and executing without a defined brief.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling abilities.
