Software Licence Analyst - Nottingham Onsite

Support software licence management for Computacenter’s IT infrastructure customers by maintaining licence data, checking compliance, managing renewals, and improving utilisation. Produce reports, maintain records, and identify opportunities to reduce software costs.

Description

  • Assist the Licence Manager with the daily delivery of software licence management services
  • Deliver assigned work according to agreed priorities and deadlines
  • Keep licence, entitlement, contract, application, and renewal records accurate and current
  • Gather, verify, and reconcile inventory, discovery, usage, purchasing, and entitlement data
  • Use Snow or comparable tools to assess licence positions, perform compliance checks, manage metering, reharvesting, and optimisation
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, data extracts, and audit evidence for service reviews and renewals
  • Find unused software, potential savings, and opportunities to improve licence utilisation
  • Handle routine customer and internal queries, referring complex licensing or commercial issues as needed
  • Work closely with service, customer, procurement, tooling, and reporting teams

Requirements

  • Previous experience in software licence management, software licensing, IT service operations, or a comparable analytical position
  • Practical understanding of software licensing principles
  • Familiarity with vendors such as Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, Adobe, or Veritas is advantageous
  • Comfort working with data, spreadsheets, reporting systems, or licence management tools
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of discovery, inventory, entitlements, reconciliation, software usage, and reharvesting processes
  • Well-organised, customer-focused working style
  • Clear communicator who is confident identifying and raising issues
  • Able to own assigned analysis while contributing effectively within an established team
  • Existing security clearance, or the ability to complete and obtain the clearance required for the role, is essential
