Software Engineering Specialist I — São Paulo Hybrid
Brasilseg seeks a Software Engineering Specialist I to shape scalable architectures, integrate systems, and strengthen cloud, DevOps, and operational reliability.
Description
- Architect and enhance complex distributed systems.
- Coordinate integrations spanning applications, platforms, services, and infrastructure.
- Convert business needs into practical technical and architectural solutions.
- Establish engineering standards, proven practices, and development principles.
- Evaluate the technical consequences of changes, features, and releases.
- Investigate and resolve complex problems to maintain stability and operational continuity.
- Ensure solutions satisfy performance, scalability, availability, resilience, and security expectations.
- Advise development, infrastructure, operations, and architecture teams on technical decisions.
- Facilitate architecture and technical design reviews for proposed solutions.
- Help assess emerging technologies, products, and technology vendors.
- Maintain documentation for architectures, integrations, workflows, and key technical decisions.
- Uphold corporate standards, security controls, governance, and compliance obligations.
- Partner with DevOps and SRE teams to advance automation, observability, and reliability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Analysis and Development, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a comparable discipline.
- Demonstrated background in software engineering, solution architecture, or a related function.
- Practical experience with monoliths, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Hands-on experience connecting systems through APIs, messaging, and queues.
- Working knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments.
- Understanding of networking, protocols, and communication between systems.
- Experience administering or developing on Linux and/or Unix.
- Practical experience using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD delivery practices.
- Experience with observability, monitoring, and technical troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of information security as applied to software development.
- Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Understanding of high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery.
- Experience using Git and other code version-control practices.
- Experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience developing with Java and/or React.
- Familiarity with agile ways of working and digital product development.
- Cloud Computing certifications are considered an advantage.
- Kubernetes certifications such as CKA or CKAD are considered an advantage.
- AWS Cloud Practitioner certification is considered an advantage.
- AWS Solutions Architect certification is considered an advantage.
- Experience in highly complex corporate settings and technology transformation is considered an advantage.
