Software Engineer III - .NET and React, Rotherham Hybrid

Description

  • Create, test, and maintain .NET backend services and React interfaces for digital assessment platforms
  • Connect cloud-native services and infrastructure using AWS, Azure, Terraform, and Docker
  • Partner with teams across the business to turn operational needs into effective technical solutions
  • Improve application efficiency and respond quickly to production incidents
  • Guide colleagues, conduct code reviews, and promote sound software engineering practices
  • Assist with production releases and contribute technical expertise throughout major project phases
  • Develop and improve digital assessment products for Qualifications Transformation and Scanning & Marking
  • Engineer dependable, scalable systems that serve millions of learners across the UK

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience delivering .NET and React applications in live production environments
  • Practical experience with cloud platforms, continuous integration and delivery, and secure software development
  • Background working within Agile or Scrum delivery teams
  • Intermediate capability with C# and .NET, React, API management, AWS or Azure, DevOps, data security, and software design
  • Intermediate capability in collaboration, problem-solving, technical judgment, adaptability, and innovation
  • Effective proficiency in ethical responsibility
  • Intermediate capability in learning to learn and artificial intelligence
  • This role has no direct reports
