Software Engineer, Identity Platform at Ping Identity (Hybrid, UK)

Description
- Build open-standards-based identity, authentication, and authorization features for the platform
- Deliver high-quality product functionality within an agile engineering team
- Apply AI tools to support discovery, development, and delivery
- Partner with product managers and product owners to enhance the platform and shape new capabilities
- Improve local development environments and cloud deployments
- Plan upcoming work and provide delivery estimates
- Support existing code and investigate reported defects
- Help foster team culture and drive continuous improvement
Requirements
- Strong working knowledge of Java
- Curiosity and motivation to learn how systems work and why they behave as they do
- Effective collaboration, communication, and teamwork abilities
- Excellent problem-solving capability
- Capacity to learn independently and quickly understand complex features and environments
- Ability to use AI engineering tools for research, code comprehension, prototyping, implementation, and documentation with sound engineering judgment
- Familiarity with JavaScript-based UI development and Vue or React is an advantage
- Experience with IDEs, Git, Jenkins, Maven, or Bazel is an advantage
- Working knowledge of RESTful web services is an advantage
- Experience with identity technologies and protocols such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, certificate and key management, and cryptography is an advantage
- Understanding of enterprise-scale systems and security configuration is an advantage
- Knowledge of contemporary software engineering practices, design patterns, and modern web application development is an advantage
