Software Engineer I – SATCOM

Develop and validate C/C++ and Python software for Honeywell Aerospace SATCOM and connectivity systems. Support certification and testing activities that help improve aircraft safety, efficiency, and passenger experience.

Description

  • Build, test, and maintain software for SATCOM and connectivity systems.
  • Design and implement solutions using C, C++, Python, and related technologies.
  • Assist with requirements definition, verification, validation, and certification work.
  • Prepare and carry out software test procedures and document the results.
  • Apply relevant standards and established engineering processes.
  • Take on additional responsibilities that support business priorities.
  • Help deliver solutions that promote safer, more efficient aircraft operations and better passenger experiences.
  • Develop innovative approaches to business challenges and create customer value.
  • Report to the Senior Engineering Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical discipline.
  • Practical knowledge of C or C++ programming.
  • Professional fluency in English.
  • A proactive, self-directed approach with strong analytical and organizational abilities.
  • Capacity to collaborate, use feedback constructively, learn quickly, and work independently.
  • High integrity and enthusiasm for a fast-paced, international work environment.
  • Understanding of software engineering fundamentals and the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python.
  • Familiarity with DO-178 objectives.
  • Experience using configuration management tools.
  • Availability and ability to travel occasionally to Canada, the United Kingdom, or the United States.
  • Applicants must hold EU citizenship because of export restrictions.
