Senior Strategy Consultant — Munich (Hybrid)

Lead strategy consulting workstreams for Oliver Wyman’s global clients in Munich. Develop rigorous analyses, recommendations, and client deliverables while supporting the growth of junior consultants.

Description

  • Own workstreams across client engagements
  • Translate complex business questions into structured analyses and practical recommendations
  • Form hypotheses, define key questions, and guide quantitative and qualitative research
  • Use disciplined problem-solving and analytical judgment to address complex business issues
  • Create presentations, analyses, workshops, models, and other client-facing deliverables
  • Contribute across industries and capabilities while developing specialist expertise or exploring new areas
  • Travel domestically and internationally as engagements require
  • Coach junior colleagues and help build an inclusive, collaborative, high-performing team
  • Strengthen client relationships through clear communication and effective stakeholder management
  • Take increasing responsibility for client relationships and more complex engagements

Requirements

  • Bring 2–4 years of relevant experience from a leading strategy consulting firm
  • Hold an undergraduate or advanced degree from a highly regarded academic program
  • Experience in banking, financial services, insurance, private equity, energy, transportation, or a related sector is advantageous
  • Demonstrate excellent analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
  • Know how to bring structure to ambiguous business problems
  • Have a record of effective collaboration in cross-functional, fast-paced environments
  • Communicate clearly and confidently in writing and conversation
  • Show strong ownership, adaptability, and resilience
  • Manage competing priorities and deliver reliably under pressure
  • Have experience with generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude
  • Be professionally fluent in German and English
  • Be willing to travel internationally when client work requires it
