Senior Solution Architect, Sydney (Hybrid)
Lead secure, scalable lending architecture and AI integrations at Bridgit, an Australian non-bank property-equity lender. Collaborate with Product and Engineering to turn business priorities into production-ready technical solutions.
Description
- Convert business and product needs into solution architectures spanning components, data flows, integrations and non-functional requirements
- Own target-state and reference architectures across loan origination, credit decisioning, settlements, broker and aggregator channels, and customer applications
- Create API-led and event-driven integrations with aggregators, brokers and external providers
- Integrate ATLAS and other AI capabilities with core platforms while maintaining architectural standards
- Assess vendors, platforms and tools, weighing delivery speed, cost, risk and long-term maintainability
- Build security and privacy into designs in accordance with regulatory requirements, the AI Governance Framework and Risk Appetite Statement
- Lead design reviews, document architecture decisions and mentor engineers
- Work with Product and Engineering leaders to estimate, sequence and reduce roadmap delivery risk
- Surface technical debt and system dependencies early
- Engineer for performance, resilience, observability and cost efficiency
- Use approved AI coding and design tools, and share effective practices across the team
Requirements
- At least seven years of software engineering experience
- Three or more years in solution, enterprise or technical architecture
- Experience in regulated fintech, lending or financial services is preferred
- Demonstrated delivery of distributed cloud systems on a major platform such as AWS
- Strong knowledge of API design, integration patterns and event-driven architecture
- Experience integrating third-party and partner systems
- Working knowledge of security, data privacy and resilience in regulated environments
- Exposure to AI- and LLM-enabled systems, including integration with core platforms
- Understanding of AI governance, cost management and observability
- Confident communication with executives, product teams and engineers
- Pragmatic, delivery-focused approach
- Curiosity, collaboration, authenticity and ownership
- Experience with loan origination, credit decisioning, or broker and aggregator platforms is advantageous
