Senior Software Engineer – Order Management Systems (Onsite)

Build scalable Java and JavaScript applications for FactSet’s Order Management System. Develop low-latency trading software supporting a global financial data and analytics platform.

Description

  • Build and maintain high-performance Order Management System features across Java backend services and frontend components
  • Partner with product managers and engineers to turn requirements into practical technical solutions
  • Review code, mentor junior engineers, and promote strong standards for quality, usability, and performance
  • Improve backend and frontend performance with an emphasis on scalability and low latency
  • Diagnose and resolve complex issues across frontend and backend systems in a financial trading environment
  • Support feature planning, architecture discussions, and technical documentation

Requirements

  • At least five years of professional software engineering experience
  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Demonstrated experience writing and maintaining unit tests
  • Strong JavaScript development skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and execution abilities
  • Strong code review capabilities
  • Familiarity with the financial trading ecosystem
  • Professional full-stack engineering experience
  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent relevant experience
  • Eligibility for employment in the United States, as required under FactSet’s E-Verify participation
