Senior Executive, Freight Management – ZF Group, Chennai Onsite
Manage freight invoice processing, carrier queries, and logistics reporting for ZF Group in Chennai. Analyze transport data and support corrective actions that improve forwarder performance.
Description
- Review and process freight invoices using established rate tables for land, sea, and air transport, including special, express, and parcel services
- Prepare, issue, and distribute credit notes to freight forwarders
- Check cargo invoices for factual and mathematical accuracy before releasing them
- Resolve freight invoice disputes directly with carriers and service providers
- Coordinate invoice verification with customer service, goods receipt, and goods issue teams
- Produce statistical reports and performance indicators from accounting data
- Record and document forwarder issues in EDV systems to support performance measurement
- Apply corrective measures to address forwarder performance issues
Requirements
- Approximately 3–4 years of experience in freight management
- Strong understanding of freight-related processes and systems
- Working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to extract system data and develop tailored analyses, including in Power BI
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
