Senior Site Reliability Engineer — United States Remote
Lead the design and operation of dependable, automated cloud infrastructure for BeyondTrust’s cybersecurity SaaS portfolio. Own platform provisioning, observability, orchestration, reliability planning, and incident response.
Description
- Develop durable technical solutions and cross-functional mechanisms that advance reliability objectives
- Create the roadmap for automated, self-service infrastructure that is scalable, efficient, observable, and dependable
- Coordinate with the Platform Infrastructure team to align and deliver its roadmap
- Partner with SREs and senior engineers across engineering groups to establish and share effective practices
- Offer senior technical direction and constructive feedback in engineering design reviews
- Automate recurring operational work to reduce toil
- Implement monitoring and alerting for Platform Infrastructure
- Join the on-call rotation and address incidents affecting platform availability
- Design, build, release, and maintain a cloud software solution based on microservices
- Lead consistent, automated provisioning and orchestration for infrastructure and services
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with AWS services and resources, including S3, EC2, and RDS
- Experience operating Kubernetes clusters on Amazon EKS
- Experience working with the Istio service mesh
- Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform and AWS CDK
- Experience using continuous build tools such as GitLab
- Experience using continuous delivery tools such as Argo CD
- Experience with Datadog
- Availability to participate in an on-call rotation
- Ability to develop long-term technical solutions and cross-team mechanisms that support reliability objectives
- Ability to define infrastructure services that are automated, self-service, scalable, efficient, observable, and reliable
