Senior Security Solutions Architect (Cisco) - Texas Remote
Design Cisco security architectures for GDT, a global IT services company, while leading customer-facing pre-sales engagements. Develop secure networking, cloud, data center, hybrid infrastructure, and AI-focused solutions.
Description
- Lead customer discovery sessions, technical workshops, assessments, and security roadmap discussions
- Design secure architectures for network, data center, cloud, and hybrid infrastructure environments
- Apply expertise in firewalls, perimeter security, intrusion prevention, SIEM, vulnerability management, IAM, risk management, and secure network architecture
- Create Cisco-focused security recommendations, solution designs, bills of material, demonstrations, and technical RFP responses
- Support Cisco security sales initiatives spanning secure networking, next-generation firewall refreshes, SASE, and AI and data center security
- Collaborate with Cisco sellers and Systems Engineers to develop qualified pipeline, improve technical win rates, and support customer adoption
- Connect technical recommendations to business value, risk reduction, and operational outcomes
- Help define project scope, prepare statements of work and customer presentations, and transition solutions to delivery teams
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience designing enterprise network security and infrastructure solutions
- Customer-facing experience in technical discovery, solution design, presentations, and solution selling
- Working knowledge of Cisco security and secure networking technologies
- Ability to connect Cisco capabilities with data center and AI requirements
- Experience with firewalls, IPS, SIEM, vulnerability management, IAM, cloud and hybrid security, SASE, and security policy development
- Strong written and verbal communication, technical writing, and cross-functional collaboration abilities
- Experience with NIST, ISO, PCI-DSS, or comparable security and compliance frameworks is helpful
- Cisco CCNP Security certification preferred
- CCIE Security or comparable security certifications are a plus
