Senior Security Architect - UK Remote Contract

Senior Security Architect supporting Intelance with a focused review of API, identity, encryption, integration and enterprise security controls. This remote UK contract involves approximately five days of work over an eight to ten week period.

Description

  • Assess existing security controls across integrations, Oracle, custom applications and external connections
  • Establish requirements for APIs, messaging, file transfers and service accounts
  • Specify requirements for identity, access, authentication, authorisation and privileged access
  • Set standards for encryption, key management and secrets management
  • Define logging, monitoring, alerting and audit controls
  • Assess network boundaries and data flows for security exposure
  • Determine the controls needed before new connections go live
  • Develop security questions and scoring criteria for platform and supplier evaluations
  • Prioritise security risks and propose practical remediation approaches
  • Create a concise security architecture review and requirements package
  • Collaborate with Intelance's Chief Enterprise Architect, Lead Integration Architect and Oracle Technical Architect
  • Complete approximately five days of work over an eight to ten week period, primarily remotely with limited planned travel

Requirements

  • Minimum eight years of experience in security architecture
  • Recent, substantial experience securing APIs and enterprise integrations
  • Strong understanding of identity and access management, service accounts, secrets, encryption, API gateways, network separation, logging and monitoring
  • Experience spanning legacy environments and modern integration platforms
  • Ability to conduct threat modelling and translate risks into clear technical requirements
  • Ability to communicate security decisions effectively to non-technical leaders
  • Strong written and spoken English
  • Based in the United Kingdom with the right to work there
  • Availability for approximately five days distributed across an eight to ten week period
  • Oracle or ERP estate experience is advantageous
  • Experience in manufacturing, distribution or supply chain organisations is advantageous
  • Familiarity with NCSC guidance or ISO 27001 environments is advantageous
  • Engagement is subject to contract, reference checks and an IR35 status assessment
