Senior Regional Technical Leader, North Region – Pennsylvania Remote

Lead technical and maintenance capability across Altium Packaging’s North region, with a focus on blow-molding equipment reliability. Provide hands-on training, troubleshooting, compliance oversight, budgeting support, and vendor management across multiple plants.

Description

  • Provide technical and maintenance support to teams across multiple sites
  • Build maintenance and technical capability to support growth, retain business, and reduce losses
  • Continuously improve and deliver operator and maintenance training for production equipment
  • Maintain effective operation of blow-molding systems, including Uniloy, Bekum, Rocheleau, and other equipment
  • Coach, develop, and support plant maintenance teams in achieving sustainable performance
  • Enforce safety standards, PPE requirements, and environmental regulations
  • Recruit, train, and develop employees who troubleshoot and repair complex equipment
  • Deliver hands-on production-floor training and capability development individually or in small groups
  • Diagnose machinery problems and advance continuous improvement in maintenance processes
  • Perform on-site equipment troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Train operators and maintenance personnel in troubleshooting and equipment care
  • Support maintenance budgeting and identify opportunities to reduce costs
  • Develop vendor and supplier relationships, negotiate agreements, and obtain favorable terms
  • Verify that maintenance work complies with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Create emergency response plans and coordinate resolutions for critical equipment incidents
  • Maintain work orders, equipment histories, inspection reports, and related maintenance records
  • Prepare recurring reports for management review

Requirements

  • Travel frequently, potentially up to 100%, to designated locations throughout the region
  • Remain stationary for extended periods, move throughout production areas, and handle equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Bring 6–10 years of experience in high-output plastics manufacturing, including deep knowledge of hydraulic and electrical equipment
  • Have 5–10 years of experience in maintenance
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and sound situational decision-making
  • Assess team members’ skills and identify strengths and development needs
  • Maintain professionalism and a strong commitment to customer care
  • Possess basic computer skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Basic Microsoft Office proficiency highly preferred
  • Have accounting or budgeting experience
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Be self-directed and detail-oriented
  • Create, lead, and contribute effectively within a team environment
  • Demonstrate the ability to influence and drive positive change
  • Work reasonable mandatory overtime when business needs require it
