Senior Quality Data Engineer responsible for AI, analytics, and data systems at Shure, a global audio equipment manufacturer. The role advances quality operations through automation, reporting, and process improvement.

Description

  • Collaborate with Global Quality Division associates to understand quality engineering processes and supporting data systems
  • Assess quality data requirements, evaluate solution options, and lead execution through implementation
  • Convert complex business needs into scalable data engineering, reporting, automation, and AI solutions
  • Research and analyze opportunities for continuous improvement through automation, workflow modernization, data architecture, system integration, and digital transformation
  • Lead the design, development, implementation, and optimization of data pipelines, integrations, databases, dashboards, analytics platforms, and cloud technologies
  • Resolve quality data engineering service requests and ensure their timely disposition
  • Create, maintain, and govern practices for data collection, storage, management, security, accessibility, reporting, compliance, and lifecycle management
  • Strengthen Quality’s core systems, procedures, standards, governance frameworks, and digital capabilities
  • Deliver training, guidance, technical support, and administrative services for global quality systems and databases
  • Lead the architecture, design, and deployment of AI-enabled solutions
  • Build intelligent agents, copilots, and AI-integrated business applications with Microsoft Copilot Studio, AI Builder, and Power Platform
  • Define AI standards, mentor teams, and promote adoption of AI solutions
  • Act as the Quality Division’s IT liaison for data initiatives, process improvements, metrics reporting, and corporate data projects
  • Administer and maintain systems involving external software providers and lead new solution implementations
  • Analyze quality data to uncover process and product opportunities and verify the effectiveness of improvements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, or a closely related field
  • At least five years of experience with data analysis, data engineering, and quality tools, or an equivalent advanced degree
  • Strongly preferred: technical proficiency in Python, SQL, and Excel VBA
  • Advanced experience designing and deploying AI-enabled applications, copilots, agents, and intelligent automation solutions
  • Technical leadership experience establishing AI practices, mentoring engineering teams, and advancing enterprise AI adoption
  • Experience with SAP S4HANA, Microsoft Power Platform—especially PowerApps and Power Automate—advanced Microsoft Excel, Tableau, and Minitab
  • Experience with AWS Data Lake, Snowflake, Informatica, Reliance EtQ, and SharePoint Online is a plus
  • Familiarity with RCCA, FMEA, SPC, and PPAP is desirable
  • Very strong data analysis capabilities
  • Ability to identify changes and trends and assess their significance
  • Ability to solve problems across varied scopes by evaluating identifiable factors
  • Sound judgment when selecting methods and techniques for complex, diverse assignments
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with internal customers to resolve technical issues and provide practical solutions
  • Current authorization to work full-time in the United States
