Senior Policy Analyst Supervisor - General Dynamics Information Technology (Remote)

Lead policy research, legal-affairs support, document development, and stakeholder coordination for federal agency programs at General Dynamics Information Technology. Supervise contractor staff while overseeing deliverables, quality, training, and performance.

Description

  • Prepare, revise, format, and quality-check policies, procedures, reports, recommendations, responses, and related documents
  • Oversee approval and clearance workflows while keeping leadership informed
  • Provide research and editorial assistance to the Intergovernmental Affairs team
  • Partner with data specialists to gather information and prepare responses to FOIA requests, congressional inquiries, and stakeholder questions
  • Edit procedures and program guidance for accuracy and consistency
  • Manage internal and external reviews and assemble policy recommendations
  • Research and prepare talking points, memoranda, reports, briefings, analyses, and related materials
  • Assist with coordination across and within agencies on program operations
  • Develop and review content for meeting agendas, reports, and executive or Congressional responses
  • Manage documents and organizational knowledge
  • Contribute to special projects
  • Coach, train, and provide technical support to Policy and Legal Affairs contractors
  • Track team progress, performance, quality, deliverables, objectives, and deadlines
  • Offer direction, training, feedback, and recommendations for improving processes
  • Prepare Performance Improvement Plans and annual performance reviews
  • Review monthly reporting and approve and submit consolidated reports
  • Approve timecards, leave requests, and expense reports
  • Assist recruiting activities, including candidate interviews
  • Create and maintain training resources, job aids, and standard operating procedures
  • Act as the main contact for stakeholder questions and concerns involving the contractor team

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in public policy, social work, law, journalism, or a related discipline
  • Eight or more years of relevant professional experience
  • At least two years of supervisory experience
  • Strong copy-editing, research, and writing capabilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with technical tools, including Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and SharePoint
  • Experience editing and managing documents for internal and external audiences
  • Experience performing scholarly research and preparing documents for leaders or other stakeholders
  • Experience creating, maintaining, and implementing standard operating procedures
  • Current MBI T2 Public Trust clearance or the ability to obtain it
  • Law or social work background preferred but not required
  • Experience supporting immigrant, refugee, or underserved communities preferred
  • Adobe product suite experience preferred
  • U.S. citizenship is not required
