Description

  • Create user-facing features for the next generation of SCRUFF and Jack’d
  • Apply clean architecture with dependency injection, modular design, and functional or reactive programming
  • Build modern mobile interfaces with Jetpack Compose and SwiftUI
  • Use test-driven and behavior-driven development starting at the ViewModel layer
  • Apply architectural standards across a distributed global team with architectural linting tools
  • Collaborate in an agile environment with Product, Design, Support, and Marketing
  • Own solutions through the full lifecycle, from design and requirements to implementation, refactoring, release, and maintenance
  • Partner with colleagues through pair and mob programming across the global team
  • Expand your technical range by learning Kotlin, React, and/or Ruby on Rails
  • Use AI-assisted development tools, including Claude Code and GitHub Copilot, to improve productivity
  • Deliver production-ready software that serves millions of users

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
  • At least 5 years of software development experience
  • At least 4 years of experience developing iOS or Android applications
  • Experience applying software design and architecture patterns
  • Strong knowledge of GitHub and Git-based development workflows
  • Willingness to learn and improve productivity with AI-powered coding tools
  • Strong understanding of usability and mobile product development
  • Demonstrated ownership, independence, and success driving products forward
  • Experience shipping consumer iOS or Android applications, preferably available in app stores
  • Experience building mobile architectures that are testable and maintainable
  • Experience collaborating with remote, globally distributed teams
  • Availability to collaborate from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Eastern Time, regardless of current time zone
  • Candidates based in Europe must be available from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. CET in winter or noon to 9 p.m. CET in summer
  • Candidates based in Brazil must be available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern Time
  • Candidates based in North America must be available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern Time
  • Interest in and openness to pair programming
  • Willingness to learn languages beyond your current client specialty, including Ruby, Python, or SQL
