Senior Risk Analyst – Minneapolis Hybrid

Ameriprise Financial seeks a senior risk analyst to automate risk processes with Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI. The role supports risk oversight, data quality, regulatory inquiries, audits, and controls.

Description

  • Build and maintain Power Apps, Power Automate workflows, and Power BI reports for risk and operational processes.
  • Work with stakeholders to find automation opportunities that improve efficiency, controls, and reporting.
  • Review, reconcile, and maintain risk data to support accuracy, integrity, and management reporting.
  • Investigate data and reporting problems and create durable solutions for data quality.
  • Contribute to risk oversight, business initiatives, and process reviews by identifying risks and suggesting control improvements.
  • Manage risk events through root-cause analysis, corrective-action tracking, and mitigating controls.
  • Coordinate between Risk Management, business partners, and technology teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Provide accurate, timely information for regulatory inquiries, audits, and examinations.
  • Contribute to risk programs covering self-monitoring, process-change controls, and governance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent four-year education, or a comparable combination of post-secondary education and relevant work experience.
  • Three to five years of relevant professional experience.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
  • Experience connecting Power Platform solutions with SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Excel, and other Microsoft 365 services.
  • Strong capabilities in process improvement, workflow automation, and business analysis.
  • Ability to convert business requirements into practical technology solutions.
  • Knowledge of operational risk management, issue management, controls, audit, compliance, or regulatory environments.
  • Knowledge of financial services, broker-dealer operations, SEC/FINRA regulations, or risk management practices is preferred.
  • Must have work authorization that will not require employment visa sponsorship in the United States now or in the future.
