Risk Analyst, College Program (Hybrid)

Entry-level opportunity supporting Marsh Re’s reinsurance brokerage work through client risk analysis, submission preparation, and broker support across placements and renewals.

Description

  • Build knowledge of Marsh Re and reinsurance while strengthening communication, analytical, marketing, and sales capabilities
  • Evaluate client data and prepare reinsurance submissions
  • Coordinate activities involved in broking placements
  • Prepare presentations covering industry trends, client options, and strategic solutions
  • Support senior brokers with client relationships and sales initiatives
  • Conduct market research and financial analysis for existing and prospective clients
  • Collect and analyze data for client reinsurance submissions
  • Support reinsurance program renewals
  • Keep brokers informed about issues and progress
  • Address client questions and concerns and resolve issues promptly
  • Monitor accountings, including premium payments and loss collections
  • Review and produce contract documentation
  • Schedule reinsurer audits and client visits
  • Maintain current knowledge of reinsurer capabilities
  • Assess client risks and develop and present recommendations
  • Apply established best practices and compliance procedures
  • Help brokers design programs addressing unmet client needs
  • Coordinate responses to client information requests with relevant departments
  • Build capabilities for an Account Executive role through training

Requirements

  • Be a fully matriculated bachelor’s degree student graduating in December 2026 or spring 2027
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Have permanent, ongoing U.S. work authorization without current or future sponsorship
  • Relevant professional experience is advantageous
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, reinsurers, and internal stakeholders
  • Apply strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Communicate clearly in writing and verbally
  • Work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Contribute flexibly across multiple teams while also working independently
  • Manage shifting priorities and a varied workload
