Senior Manager, Business Development – Cryptography and Cross-Domain Solutions (Florida Remote)

Lead business development for cryptography and cross-domain solutions within Collins Aerospace’s Mission Systems organization. Drive government capture, strategic partnerships, proposals, and growth across aerospace and defense markets.

Description

  • Develop and capture new business opportunities across the Modular Open Systems Solutions Encryption portfolio
  • Present strategic objectives and opportunities to senior leaders in the U.S. Department of War and other government organizations
  • Direct the preparation of white papers and proposals
  • Lead capture teams and oversee the pursuit, order, and capture lifecycle
  • Negotiate and secure new business consistent with customer and market needs
  • Contribute to product development and strategic planning
  • Establish and sustain relationships with U.S. Government and commercial customers
  • Assess competitor offerings and company positioning against market trends and customer requirements
  • Partner with program management, engineering, and other cross-functional groups
  • Travel of up to 50% may be required for business development and customer engagements

Requirements

  • A university degree and at least 10 years of relevant experience, or an advanced related degree and at least 7 years of experience, are typically required
  • An active, transferable U.S. government-issued Secret Security Clearance is required before starting
  • U.S. citizenship is required
  • Experience with U.S. military concepts of operations involving secure communications, modular open systems architecture, and cryptography
  • Experience managing the pursuit, order, and capture process lifecycle
  • Direct experience supporting U.S. Government acquisitions
  • Experience at a cryptographic product or systems prime contractor is preferred
  • Experience working with the NSA and other Intelligence Community and Military Services stakeholders is preferred
  • A demonstrated record of closing deals, building partnerships, or generating revenue in high-growth environments is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of cryptographic principles and protocols is preferred
  • Leadership experience and sound decision-making in complex business environments are preferred
