Senior Java Developer in Spain (Remote)

Description
- Design, build, and evolve Java-based backend solutions and microservices architectures
- Contribute to the functional and technical definition of new products and capabilities
- Develop backend features in line with team standards and engineering best practices
- Take part in pull request reviews by providing feedback and incorporating review insights
- Help design and evolve REST APIs using an API-first approach with OpenAPI
- Contribute to implementing microservices-based solutions
- Apply Clean Code, SOLID principles, and established design patterns
- Support the creation and maintenance of technical documentation
- Use AI tools to improve development productivity and software quality
- Work in environments that follow Spec Driven Development (SDD) methodologies
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in changing environments
Requirements
- At least four years of backend development experience with Java 17/21 or later
- Demonstrated experience with Spec Driven Development (SDD)
- Professional use of artificial intelligence throughout the software development lifecycle
- Strong knowledge of Spring Boot and the wider Spring ecosystem
- Experience designing and developing REST APIs with an API-first approach using OpenAPI or Swagger
- Experience with microservices and hexagonal architecture
- Knowledge of SOLID principles, Clean Code, design patterns, and software development best practices
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, particularly MariaDB and/or MongoDB
- Experience working with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) environments
- Experience developing and running unit and integration tests
- Ability to work independently with initiative and a focus on continuous improvement
