Senior Interior Designer — Philippines (Remote, Part-Time)

Description

  • Deliver workplace and education interior projects
  • Develop designs from concept through detailed, tender, and construction documentation
  • Turn briefs, sketches, mark-ups, and design direction into accurate, coordinated drawings
  • Produce space plans, test fits, site and demolition plans, general arrangements, reflected ceiling plans, furniture and finishes plans, elevations, joinery details, ceiling details, floor thresholds, partitions, and stairs
  • Prepare and maintain finishes, furniture, door, and equipment schedules
  • Create SketchUp 3D models and visualisations when required
  • Support design development, material selection, and InDesign presentation documentation
  • Coordinate architectural and interior design information with specialist consultants
  • Incorporate consultant information, mark-ups, and design revisions into project documentation
  • Check documentation for accuracy, coordination, and completeness, escalating issues to the Director
  • Manage assigned tasks and deliverables against agreed deadlines
  • Collaborate with the Director through reviews, mark-ups, and online meetings
  • Oversee and review team members’ work as the business grows

Requirements

  • 8–10+ years of professional commercial interior design experience
  • Substantial experience delivering workplace and education projects
  • Portfolio showcasing high-quality commercial interior work
  • Strong technical expertise in interior documentation, detailing, and construction
  • Ability to independently produce complete documentation packages from sketches, mark-ups, briefs, or verbal direction
  • Strong spatial planning and technical design capabilities
  • Sound understanding of materials, finishes, furniture, and construction detailing
  • Working knowledge of Australian building and accessibility standards, including NCC/BCA and DDA
  • Advanced AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT and SketchUp, or equivalent 3D modelling software
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign and Photoshop
  • Experience producing tender and construction documentation
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organisation and ability to manage deadlines independently
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and coordination
  • Reliable high-speed internet and a workstation suitable for large CAD and 3D files
  • Availability during Sydney hours, 9:00am–5:30pm AEST, with at least six hours of daily overlap
  • Regular communication via Microsoft Teams and Zoom, including daily check-ins and weekly deliverables
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all project information and documentation
