Senior Infrastructure DevOps Engineer – Azure/Terraform, Hybrid

Lead secure, scalable Azure infrastructure and DevOps operations for Wilson Sonsini, integrating cloud platforms, applications, and IT infrastructure. The role focuses on Azure DevOps, Terraform, governance, service reliability, and technology planning.

Description

  • Serve as the technical authority for Azure and other cloud architecture questions and decisions.
  • Connect IT Infrastructure and IT Applications by integrating application development with Microsoft-based infrastructure.
  • Build and operate Azure DevOps pipelines and Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code practices.
  • Apply vendor guidance for performance, cost management, data protection, and security.
  • Contribute to technology roadmaps covering lifecycle, capacity, obsolescence, supportability, and vendor planning.
  • Investigate service interruptions, restore operations, and address root causes to prevent recurrence.
  • Develop and maintain accurate documentation for managed services and applications.
  • Ensure systems and architectures meet security standards, policies, and risk requirements.

Requirements

  • Bring at least five years of experience as a cloud systems administrator or in a comparable role.
  • Have at least three years of experience designing and administering Azure environments.
  • Have at least three years of experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Have at least three years of Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform.
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of Azure and its integration with other Microsoft cloud services.
  • Demonstrate advanced working knowledge of Azure DevOps and CI/CD best practices.
  • Demonstrate advanced proficiency with Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code.
  • Have experience integrating application development pipelines with IT infrastructure.
  • Be self-directed, highly motivated, adaptable, positive, and able to manage multiple assignments.
  • Be comfortable presenting to large groups and explaining technical concepts to nontechnical audiences.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and evolving technical practices.
  • Experience in the legal industry is preferred.
  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Microsoft AZ-400 certification is preferred.
  • Understand Logic Apps and Function Apps integration with IT infrastructure.
  • Have experience with Power Platform, Foundry, Graph API, Logic Apps, and Function Apps.
  • Have experience managing Microsoft 365 services.
  • Have experience with AI tools such as Copilot or Claude.
  • Know Kubernetes and its integration with other components in an Azure tenant.
  • Have experience planning and designing technology lifecycle projects.
