Description
- Create 3D civil infrastructure models for roads, bridges, earthworks, utilities, and related projects
- Generate construction drawings and other deliverables from digital models
- Complete model-based quantity takeoffs, volume calculations, and cost analysis
- Coordinate models with engineering, surveying, and construction teams
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in models, designs, and project data
- Collect and incorporate design and survey information into digital model environments
- Perform clash detection and help develop corrective solutions
- Integrate and maintain 3D laser scan and point cloud data
- Assist with digital document management and model controls, including file organization and version tracking
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in civil infrastructure modelling
- Advanced proficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D
- Experience supporting civil infrastructure or heavy civil construction projects
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to detect discrepancies in models, drawings, and project data
- Excellent communication, planning, and organizational abilities
- Team-oriented, self-motivated, and willing to learn and take on new challenges
- Experience with Trimble Business Center, Navisworks, and parametric modelling is an asset
- Experience with Dynamo, Python scripting, or workflow automation tools is an asset
- Experience creating 4D simulations with Navisworks, Fuzor, Synchro, or comparable tools is an asset
- Knowledge of BIM implementation practices is an advantage
- Education in civil engineering, surveying, geomatics, or a related field is an asset
