Description
- Act as the subject-matter expert and accountable owner for a key marketing domain
- Create data products and algorithms that improve budget allocation, audience targeting, and performance across channels
- Develop marketing measurement approaches covering attribution, incrementality, and multi-touch analysis
- Use insights, A/B tests, and causal inference to guide marketing decisions and improve return on spend
- Build and support analytics pipelines and data infrastructure alongside data engineers and fellow data scientists
- Explore data to uncover growth opportunities, understand customer behaviour, and refine marketing tactics
- Deliver reports, dashboards, and on-demand analysis for marketing partners
- Apply AI tools to streamline operational work
- Work with Google, Meta, other advertising platforms, and internal engineering teams on tracking, integrations, and measurement
- Partner with Growth, Product, Engineering, marketing, data engineering, and data science teams
- Lead initiatives from conception through delivery, producing straightforward and effective solutions
Requirements
- Understand digital marketing fundamentals, including attribution, advertising platforms, tracking, and conversion optimization
- Have experience with lifecycle data and with reaching new and existing customers across the customer journey
- Bring strong Python and SQL skills, including experience producing production-ready code
- Demonstrate success developing algorithms, solving optimization problems, or building data-driven decision systems
- Have a strong grounding in causal inference, A/B testing, and experimental design
- Communicate clearly and explain complex technical ideas to non-technical audiences
- Have owned complex projects end to end as the accountable data lead
- Use AI effectively while applying strategic judgment and critical thinking
- Cover the full data science lifecycle, from dashboards and reporting through advanced algorithm development
- Contribute to the strategic direction of marketing analytics with limited ramp-up time
- Bring experience in marketing measurement, attribution, and incrementality
- Adapt quickly to shifting priorities and manage complex work
- Show a willingness to teach, learn, and seek feedback
- Experience building internal analytics and optimization systems at larger technology companies is preferred
- Be legally authorized to work in Canada
