Description

  • Develop scalable backend services, APIs, and data pipelines with Python and SQL
  • Create data ingestion workflows through APIs and batch processing
  • Automate manual and spreadsheet-based operations with internal tools, dashboards, and reliable systems
  • Support server-rendered frontend development using HTML, HTMX, and Jinja
  • Strengthen testing, performance, security, monitoring, and data quality
  • Investigate and resolve issues in production
  • Participate in architecture decisions and technical planning
  • Lead technical projects from implementation through deployment
  • Partner with product, data, and operations teams to improve architecture, reliability, and processes
  • Allocate approximately 70% of your work to backend development and 30% to frontend development

Requirements

  • At least five years of professional software development experience, including substantial backend engineering work
  • Strong English communication skills at B2–C1 level or higher
  • Advanced Python and SQL skills, with experience delivering production backend services
  • Professional experience with PostgreSQL and/or MySQL; PostgreSQL is preferred
  • Experience using Snowflake or a comparable cloud data warehouse for data ingestion and processing
  • Experience deploying and operating applications on AWS
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS CDK, or comparable tools, along with familiarity with CI/CD
  • Solid knowledge of distributed systems, microservices, REST APIs and/or GraphQL, authentication, and authorization
  • Practical experience writing unit and integration tests
  • Ability to work independently, lead technical initiatives, and deliver pragmatic solutions in a fast-paced setting
  • Experience with HTML, HTMX, Jinja templates, or Python-based server-rendered applications is highly desirable
  • Experience with Apache Airflow or another data orchestration platform is a plus
  • Familiarity with React, Next.js, Angular, or JavaScript is a plus
