Senior Enterprise Solutions Architect — Texas Remote

Guide enterprise customers in adopting and expanding dbt data transformation and analytics solutions. Advise on architecture, security, governance, deployment, and technical validation.

Description

  • Lead enterprise discovery by linking technical needs to business goals and measurable outcomes
  • Develop enterprise-grade data transformation and analytics architectures with dbt
  • Work with Sales to articulate the dbt platform’s technical capabilities and business value
  • Manage customer evaluations and technical validation, including trials and proof-of-value engagements as appropriate
  • Develop trusted relationships with data practitioners, technical leaders, and executive stakeholders
  • Advise customers on architecture, security, governance, and deployment decisions
  • Drive successful adoption while identifying opportunities to expand customer relationships
  • Share customer and field feedback with Product and Engineering to inform strategy and roadmap decisions
  • Cultivate partnerships with Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, and other modern data ecosystem organizations
  • Provide technical guidance, repeatable practices, and thought leadership to Field Engineering and the dbt community

Requirements

  • At least four years in sales engineering, solutions architecture, consulting, or a comparable customer-facing technical role focused on data, analytics, or business intelligence
  • Strong command of SQL, data transformation, ETL/ELT, and data modeling principles
  • Solid knowledge of modern cloud data warehouse, lakehouse, and analytics architectures
  • Skill in uncovering technical and business needs and translating them into practical solutions with measurable results
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for explaining complex technical subjects to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to earn credibility and build trusted relationships from data practitioners through senior executives
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-changing environment while working across Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer teams
  • Experience with dbt or analytics engineering
  • Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or comparable modern cloud data platforms
  • Experience applying data modeling approaches such as dimensional modeling, Kimball, Data Vault, or 3NF
  • Experience with enterprise data integration or ETL tools including Informatica, Boomi, or Talend
  • Background supporting complex enterprise evaluations, migrations, or data transformation programs
