Senior Electrical Engineer, PE III

Lead electrical engineering for ENFRA energy infrastructure projects spanning power, renewable energy, storage, and controls. Sign and seal engineering documents, manage project scopes, and guide design teams.

Description

  • Seal engineering documents and uphold quality standards.
  • Lead and review designs for solar, battery storage, fuel cell, and combined heat and power facilities.
  • Conduct and review utility interconnection, arc flash, short-circuit, and breaker coordination studies.
  • Manage electrical scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Oversee planning for field investigations and site visits.
  • Review plans for 3D laser scanning work.
  • Address complex technical and coordination issues.
  • Provide technical direction and review junior staff work.
  • Work independently with broad decision-making authority.
  • Coach and develop junior engineers and designers.
  • Coordinate with clients, utilities, and other stakeholders.
  • Support client relationships through technical guidance, proposals, and engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field
  • At least 10 years of design experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical power and building systems
  • Experience with system coordination, protection, and controls integration
  • Strong problem-solving and communication abilities
  • Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary designs
  • Experience with large-scale infrastructure or energy programs preferred
  • Familiarity with utility coordination and interconnection processes preferred
  • Willingness to travel 10–20% of the time
  • Ability to work at a desk and computer for extended periods
  • Ability to climb stairs
  • Ability to remain in a fixed position, often kneeling, standing, or sitting, for extended periods
  • Ability to perform repetitive wrist, hand, or finger movements
  • Ability to work in a quiet environment
  • Ability to adjust or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds
