Senior Electrical Engineer - Minneapolis Hybrid

Lead electrical analysis and design for Stanley Consultants’ energy and infrastructure projects. Perform power-system studies and contribute as a discipline lead or project engineer.

Description

  • Lead and deliver electrical engineering projects.
  • Conduct load flow, short-circuit, coordination, and arc-flash studies.
  • Design electrical systems in compliance with the National Electrical Code.
  • Develop power distribution for mechanical building systems.
  • Design campus distribution networks and building low-voltage systems.
  • Serve as a discipline lead or project engineer across energy, infrastructure, federal, and international projects.
  • Support projects of varied scales and locations for higher education, utility, federal, municipal, and industrial clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university.
  • Professional engineering license.
  • Eight to twelve years of experience in electrical consulting engineering.
  • Experience designing medium-voltage systems at 4.16 kV, 12.47 kV, and 13.8 kV, including pad-mounted switches, switchgear, and transformers.
  • Experience designing 208Y/120 V and 480Y/277 V low-voltage systems for industrial and higher education facilities.
  • Advanced ability to develop electrical engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA 101 Life Safety Code.
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA 780 Standard for Installation of Lightning Protection Systems.
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA 110 Emergency and Standby Power Systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower.
  • Proficiency with AGi32 lighting software.
  • AutoCAD or Revit experience is a plus.
