Senior Contract Administrator

GHD seeks a senior contracts professional to manage mining agreements, client relationships, contractual risks and commercial opportunities. The role is based in Chile and follows a hybrid work arrangement.

Description

  • Manage contracts end to end and serve as the primary client contact.
  • Review contract terms, service orders and subsequent change orders in a timely manner.
  • Ensure contractual obligations are met throughout service order delivery.
  • Monitor compliance with agreements and recommend actions or changes when needed.
  • Identify, develop and advance business opportunities across the client portfolio.
  • Strengthen existing commercial relationships and support growth through service orders, master agreement extensions and related projects.
  • Plan and carry out the closeout of each master agreement, including completion, extension or renewal.
  • When assigned, act as Project Director and oversee scope, schedule, quality, costs and risk management.
  • Lead the teams involved, support strategic decisions, manage client expectations and align delivery with business objectives and GHD standards.

Requirements

  • Professional degree in Civil Engineering or a related field suited to contract and engineering project management.
  • More than 15 years of professional experience, including a proven record in contract administration and end-to-end contract management.
  • Relevant experience in mining, engineering, consulting or professional services connected to mining projects.
  • Experience administering master agreements, service orders, change orders, amendments, extensions, renewals and contract closeouts.
  • Direct client relationship experience, serving as a point of contact and coordinating technical, commercial, legal and administrative teams.
  • Knowledge of contract management, change control, contractual obligations, documentation, correspondence, risk, and client and company policy compliance.
  • Ability to protect contract profitability, monitor agreements and anticipate issues that could affect proper delivery.
  • Leadership, influence and cross-functional coordination skills.
  • Negotiation skills and ability to handle complex contractual matters.
  • Clear communication and effective relationships with clients and internal teams.
  • Intermediate English.
