Senior Cloud Architect - Full-Time Remote, United States

Design secure, portable hybrid-cloud platforms across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and OCI. Shape multi-cloud architecture across networking, identity, observability, security, and FinOps.

Description

  • Define multi-cloud strategy, target-state architecture, and adoption guardrails for AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI where applicable
  • Create federated identity, single sign-on, and cross-cloud authorization designs
  • Architect cross-cloud networking with transit hubs, private connectivity, and zero-trust approaches
  • Develop reusable infrastructure-as-code patterns that appropriately abstract provider-specific implementations
  • Set container, Kubernetes, and serverless direction across cloud providers
  • Develop data architecture approaches for cross-cloud movement, residency, and analytics
  • Lead multi-cloud observability, security monitoring, and centralized policy enforcement
  • Implement FinOps practices across multiple cloud environments
  • Lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning across clouds
  • Collaborate with security architects on multi-cloud security models, KMS approaches, and key management
  • Advise engineering teams on when to use cloud-agnostic or cloud-native patterns
  • Create architecture deliverables such as context and sequence diagrams, decision records, and reference designs
  • Work with cloud providers and partners to assess roadmap alignment
  • Evaluate developments in multi-cloud platforms and tooling, turning relevant advances into recommendations and adoption proposals

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related discipline
  • At least eight years of experience in cloud architecture roles
  • Hands-on architecture experience with at least two major cloud providers
  • Deep knowledge of multi-provider cloud networking, identity, and security
  • Strong experience with infrastructure-as-code and policy-as-code across cloud environments
  • Experience designing federated identity and single sign-on across cloud platforms
  • Solid understanding of Kubernetes, container platforms, and managed cloud services
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Multiple cloud certifications spanning different providers
  • Demonstrated leadership of multi-cloud architecture initiatives
  • No new H1B sponsorship is available; current H1B visa holders needing a transfer may apply
  • Must work directly as a full-time W2 employee; C2C, 1099, and third-party arrangements are not accepted
  • Completion of a technical coding assessment is required
  • Preferred: Experience with abstraction platforms such as Crossplane, Pulumi, or Terraform CDK
  • Preferred: Familiarity with cloud-agnostic observability platforms
  • Preferred: Experience leading large-scale cloud-to-cloud migrations
  • Preferred: Exposure to regulated industries with multi-cloud requirements
  • Preferred: Public speaking or published writing about multi-cloud architecture
