Senior Client Events Specialist – Austin Hybrid

Latham & Watkins seeks a senior client events specialist to manage branded events, budgets, vendors, invitations, and event communications. This full-time hybrid role is based in Austin, Texas.

Description

  • Support the Manager – Client Events in delivering the firm’s events program
  • Take the lead on organizing client events
  • Manage assigned projects independently
  • Collaborate with the Manager – Client Events to plan, manage, and attend events
  • Coordinate the full event lifecycle, including planning meetings, checklists, budgets, expense processing, vendor management, onsite and virtual platforms, data management, and post-event analysis
  • Build targeted invitation lists with stakeholders and the e-marketing team
  • Prepare event communications and collateral consistent with Latham’s brand
  • Create and oversee event budgets
  • Source venues and vendors, negotiate terms, and deliver cost savings
  • Monitor event best practices and relevant market and industry developments
  • Safeguard highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and proprietary information

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification
  • Events-related qualification preferred
  • At least five years of experience in business development or marketing
  • Professional services experience preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly developed, professional interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with clients and employees at every organizational level
  • Collaborative, customer-focused approach to teamwork
