Senior CIAM Engineer, Auth0 and Okta
Build secure customer identity platforms with Auth0 and Okta for Cigna Healthcare. Automate enterprise authentication, including SSO, MFA, federation, and passwordless access.
Description
- Design secure Auth0 and Okta integrations with application teams
- Lead application onboarding for SSO, MFA, federation, and customer registration
- Build and support CIAM solutions serving millions of customer identities
- Manage identity infrastructure with Terraform, GitHub, and GitOps
- Develop reusable tools and automated processes for application onboarding
- Implement passwordless authentication with passkeys, FIDO2, and WebAuthn
- Set authentication policies, adaptive access controls, MFA rules, and customer identity journeys
- Develop federation solutions using OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, SCIM, and JWT
- Work with security, architecture, and development teams to meet enterprise security standards
- Resolve complex authentication, authorization, identity, and federation issues
- Support CI/CD pipelines and automated identity platform deployments
- Establish identity standards, reference architectures, and engineering practices
- Document solution designs, integration patterns, and operating procedures
- Advance platform modernization through automation, self-service, monitoring, and scalability
Requirements
- Hands-on experience implementing and supporting enterprise-scale Okta and/or Auth0 platforms
- Strong knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, and SCIM
- Substantial experience with federation and Single Sign-On (SSO)
- Experience implementing and supporting Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
- Experience designing and deploying passwordless authentication solutions
- Strong understanding of passkeys, FIDO2/WebAuthn, device-based authentication, and risk-based authentication
- Experience supporting customer registration and account recovery journeys
- Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform
- Strong experience with GitHub workflows, pull requests, and code reviews
- Experience with GitOps deployment models and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with monitoring and operations tools such as Splunk, ServiceNow, Jira, or similar platforms
- For remote work, cable or fiber internet service with at least 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload
