Senior Casting Technology Manufacturing Engineer – Ohio Remote

Senior engineer responsible for casting manufacturing technology across GE Aerospace’s airfoil and structural casting operations. The role advances supplier capabilities, new casting methods, and cost-efficient production processes.

Description

  • Deliver technical support to the Airfoils and Structural Castings teams
  • Advance supplier development and pursue casting technology breakthroughs
  • Lead technical processes and products within the castings commodity
  • Develop and bring new casting technologies into production
  • Collaborate with Quality and Design Engineering to meet defined process metrics
  • Plan and execute process-engineering work for new products and technology development
  • Coach suppliers on quality tools, requirements, and emerging technologies
  • Work with sourcing teams on casting supplier development and cost-reduction initiatives
  • Create and implement manufacturing processes
  • Drive ongoing improvements in quality and manufacturing costs
  • Help guide operations toward world-class performance
  • Report progress and challenges to leadership
  • Travel to Cincinnati several times during the first six months for training and onboarding
  • Attend in-person New Hire Orientation on the first day

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a technical discipline, or a high school diploma/GED plus at least four years of quality, manufacturing, or casting experience
  • At least five years of casting experience
  • Willingness and ability to travel 25–50%
  • U.S. Person status required to access U.S. export-controlled information, including U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. citizen, or granted asylee or refugee status
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
  • Availability to work primarily in the Eastern Time Zone
  • Expertise with SX and Equiax investment casting
  • Experience with additive manufacturing
  • New Product Introduction experience
  • Proficiency with Siemens NX or a comparable CAD system
  • Experience maturing Technology Readiness Levels and Manufacturing Readiness Levels
  • Experience with APQP and PPAP
  • Demonstrated project management skills
