- Build platform services that ingest, process, and route security events from diverse sources into multiple execution contexts
- Shape the architecture of the Detection Content Management Platform (DCMP/CMS)
- Develop CI/CD and DevOps tooling that lets content authors manage detections as code
- Engineer microservices designed for high scalability and fault tolerance
- Help advance the Unified Detections Management (UDM) system
- Provide technical leadership and mentor mid-level and senior engineers
- Align cross-functional teams around complex technical decisions
- Design and deliver capabilities for Policy, Flight Control, and Observability
- Maintain platform reliability and operational excellence
- Partner with Product Management and engineering teams to turn strategic goals into actionable technical roadmaps
Requirements
- At least eight years of professional software development experience focused on large-scale distributed systems and internet-scale problems
- Advanced proficiency in one or more modern programming languages, preferably Go
- Demonstrated success architecting and delivering critical, highly available, scalable cloud platform services on GCP, AWS, or Azure
- Extensive experience with streaming technologies such as Kafka or Flink and a strong grasp of distributed computing
- Knowledge of cybersecurity or SIEM principles, data models, and detection or rule authoring lifecycles is a strong advantage
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Staff-level experience leading multi-quarter initiatives and shaping technical direction across teams
- Practical experience applying AI technologies to improve decision-making, workflows, efficiency, and business outcomes
- Experience working with query languages and runtime environments
- Familiarity with low-latency, real-time event processing and pattern matching
- Previous experience in security or building platforms for developers and content authors
- Willingness to work from the NYC office twice per week
