Description

  • Create, code, and maintain applications that satisfy business objectives and Appian platform requirements
  • Provide hands-on technical delivery and development expertise as part of a collaborative engineering team
  • Assist with administration of the Appian platform
  • Apply advanced technical expertise across the Appian technology domain
  • Write software that advances high-impact initiatives in a HIPAA-regulated setting
  • Build Appian solutions using process models, SAIL interfaces, record types, expression rules, AI capabilities, and reusable components
  • Configure, tune, and troubleshoot the Appian platform
  • Build and support Appian integrations with external systems through REST services, APIs, and enterprise data sources
  • Maintain workflow and case-management applications developed on Appian
  • Assess and deploy Appian platform capabilities and version upgrades
  • Champion Appian standards and alignment with broader engineering practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline
  • At least four years of substantial, hands-on Appian development experience
  • At least four years designing, developing, and testing software applications or infrastructure
  • Experience delivering workflow-oriented and case-based applications in medium- to large-scale environments
  • Working knowledge of platform security, integrations, and data-access patterns
  • Experience or exposure to regulated environments involving security, compliance, auditability, and reliability
  • Hands-on experience developing Web APIs, working with Kafka or similar messaging queues, and using Appian integration capabilities
  • Familiarity with Appian SAIL, Records, Data Fabric, and platform deployment procedures
  • Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field preferred
  • Appian Certified Developer certification or equivalent Appian credential preferred
  • Experience with Appian AI features, including AI modeling and automation, preferred
  • Experience with object-oriented languages such as Java, C#, or Python preferred
  • Software development or administration experience with SQL, relational and cloud databases, and data platforms preferred
  • Experience with Databricks, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL preferred
  • Knowledge of object-oriented design and development methods preferred
  • Experience with Kafka or other enterprise messaging and event-streaming platforms preferred
  • Home or hybrid employees must have at least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload internet service
  • A dedicated, interruption-free workspace is required to safeguard member PHI and HIPAA information
