Senior Android Developer – Hybrid, Sweden

Build and evolve custom native Android applications for Nexer’s digital services. Lead Android architecture, technical decisions, and quality-focused development in a senior role.

Description

  • Develop, optimize, and maintain custom client services
  • Work on a significant, long-term in-house assignment
  • Build and evolve native Android applications from concept and architecture through launch and production
  • Provide deep technical expertise and strategic thinking in complex development projects
  • Own technical decisions and lead architectural discussions
  • Deliver scalable, maintainable, and high-quality solutions
  • Collaborate closely with product owners, designers, backend developers, and other stakeholders
  • Share experience, provide guidance, and bring fresh perspectives as a senior team member

Requirements

  • At least five years of experience developing native Android applications
  • Experience building applications from the ground up, from concept, architecture, and implementation through release and maintenance
  • Strong knowledge of modern architecture principles and design patterns, such as MVVM, Clean Architecture, or comparable approaches
  • Experience working with complex system landscapes involving numerous integrations and dependencies
  • Ability to make well-founded technical decisions that balance business value with long-term maintainability
  • Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and quality-focused development
  • Comfort collaborating closely with product owners, designers, backend developers, and other stakeholders
  • Fluent spoken and written Swedish
  • Experience with system development in .NET or Java is an advantage, but not required
  • Curious, solution-oriented, and motivated by solving complex technical challenges
  • Able to combine hands-on development with technical leadership
  • Able to take ownership from initial idea through production
  • Interested in continuous improvement and modern development practices
