Senior Accounting Associate at Aprio (Hybrid, Philippines)

Aprio is hiring a Senior Accounting Associate in the Philippines to manage reconciliations, journal entries, fixed assets, reporting, and variance analysis. The role supports process improvements and collaboration with U.S.-based and global finance teams.

Description

  • Prepare timely and accurate balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Maintain fixed assets and prepaid accounts in Workday.
  • Process monthly amortization and depreciation activities.
  • Create journal entries for accruals, recurring items, and one-time transactions.
  • Support daily cash postings and other banking-related requests.
  • Analyze variances and resolve identified issues.
  • Prepare revenue-related journal entries.
  • Assist with audits and seasonal compliance activities, including 1099 reporting.
  • Keep vendor records current and coordinate with Accounts Payable to ensure accrual completeness.
  • Identify and implement improvements that strengthen accuracy and turnaround times.
  • Partner with senior management on special projects and strategic analyses.
  • Collaborate with U.S. teams and colleagues across global offices.
  • Coach junior associates, contribute to training, and provide support to the manager.

Requirements

  • A current CPA license is advantageous.
  • Be available for a mid-shift schedule of 3:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. PHT and/or 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. PHT.
  • Hold a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related finance discipline.
  • Bring 2–4 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis.
  • Demonstrate strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and modeling, plus PowerPoint proficiency.
  • Have experience with ERP platforms; Workday experience is preferred.
  • Show strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
  • Manage competing priorities effectively while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Experience in a U.S. shared-services or global business-services environment is preferred but not required.
  • Be willing to work in a hybrid arrangement with two days in the office and three days working from home.
