Senior Accountant, Vietnam (Hybrid)

Lead Isentia’s Vietnam accounting function across tax, treasury, statutory compliance, and financial reporting. Manage AR/AP, NetSuite processes, banking, e-invoicing, audits, and Chief Accountant registration.

Description

  • Manage daily accounting activities, statutory tax compliance, and financial reporting for Isentia’s Vietnam operations
  • Record complete and timely financial data in NetSuite in accordance with accounting standards, company policies, procedures, and legal requirements
  • Reconcile monthly accounts payable and accounts receivable ledgers with the General Ledger
  • Process payments and collections under corporate delegation policies
  • Prepare corporate and legal information schedules
  • Record intercompany transactions, reconcile balances, and confirm counterparty matches
  • Review contracts and acceptance or liquidation documents, then issue e-invoices through NetSuite and Easy Invoice
  • Track receivables aging, overdue balances, Days Sales Outstanding, cash forecasts, and payment reminders
  • Reconcile recognized revenue with billing records
  • Review supplier contracts and invoices, record vendor and freelancer expenses, and prepare payment proposals every two weeks
  • Submit approved payment files to the bank, record payment transactions, and manage daily banking activity
  • Maintain the cashbook and reconcile bank statements
  • Administer digital tax tokens, file VAT and WHT declarations, make tax payments, and retain supporting records
  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisers on documentation and year-end audits
  • Manage bank vouchers and arrange token renewals
  • Complete official registration as the company’s Chief Accountant with local tax authorities
  • Keep physical and digital records of invoices, vouchers, tax documents, and contracts organized
  • Report to the Finance Manager and work with Finance Managers, the SEA Team, and the Country Liaison

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • A valid Chief Accountant Certificate is mandatory for local legal registration
  • At least 4–6 years of general accounting experience with hands-on responsibility for accounts receivable, accounts payable, tax, and treasury
  • Ability to work effectively and independently within a remote or distributed team
  • Strong self-management, time management, and proactive communication skills
  • Proficiency with digital collaboration tools including Google Workspace and shared cloud drives
  • Experience using accounting platforms such as NetSuite
  • Practical experience with Vietnamese e-invoicing tools such as Easy Invoice and banking platforms such as Vietcombank VCB DigiBiz
  • Strong knowledge of Vietnamese Accounting Standards and local VAT and WHT regulations
  • Professional written and spoken fluency in Vietnamese and English
  • High attention to detail, ethical judgment, and personal accountability
