Security Compliance Engineer

Develop audit-ready security compliance for ASUS robotics and AI systems, coordinating controls, risk assessments, certification readiness, and secure engineering practices. Work with teams in Boston and Taipei.

Description

  • Create and maintain security plans and compliance records for ARAIC products, infrastructure, and development processes.
  • Map controls to relevant frameworks and standards, identifying gaps between documentation and deployed systems.
  • Coordinate security architecture across hardware, embedded, cloud, and application engineering teams.
  • Lead threat modeling, risk assessments, and prioritization of security controls.
  • Manage certification and audit preparation, including assessment materials, readiness declarations, evidence, and assessor requests.
  • Create and maintain standard procedures for information assurance and compliance work.
  • Set up configuration and change management processes to keep security records aligned with implemented systems.
  • Work with DevOps and engineering teams to embed compliance controls, validation, evidence generation, and secure supply chain practices in workflows.
  • Guide and train engineering and business teams on security awareness.
  • Work with engineering teams in Boston and Taipei and with external assessors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in cyber operations, information security, computer science, or a related field.
  • At least five years of experience in information security, information assurance, security compliance, or risk management, including responsibility for secure systems in an operational setting.
  • Working knowledge of security frameworks such as the NIST Risk Management Framework, NIST SP 800-53 or 800-171, CMMC, or ISO 27001.
  • Experience with risk assessment methods and developing security controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Experience managing secure communications, cryptographic material, or controlled information in a regulated environment.
  • Strong documentation and writing skills, including producing audit-ready materials and explaining security requirements to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organization and follow-through when coordinating work across teams and disciplines.
  • Availability for virtual meetings with the Taiwan-based team at least three nights per week.
  • Ability to travel to Taipei quarterly for approximately two to three weeks.
  • Ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced, changing, results-oriented environment.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Authorization to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship is unavailable.
  • Familiarity with secure system design, including hardware roots of trust, secure boot, certificate management, and configuration management, is a plus.
  • Experience with requirements management or compliance tracking tools is a plus.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC, or CompTIA Security+ are a plus.
