SBA Credit Analyst – U.S. Bank (Hybrid)

Evaluate SBA loan applications and credit portfolios for U.S. Bank in a hybrid analyst role. Support lending decisions by assessing credit quality, risk, and potential losses.

Description

  • Authorize credit extensions and provide recommendations on final lending decisions for new, renewal, and extension loans
  • Gather, assess, and interpret credit information for existing and prospective customers
  • Examine customer accounts and portfolios to identify credit-quality concerns and determine appropriate actions
  • Protect credit quality while reducing the company’s exposure to risk and potential losses
  • Apply technology tools and software to analyze individual credit facilities and portfolios
  • Assess alternative actions and deliver informed recommendations or decisions

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
  • At least five years of relevant experience is typically expected
  • Demonstrated strength in credit analysis and broader analytical work
  • Comprehensive understanding of credit analysis, credit administration, credit policies and procedures, and risk analysis
  • Academic or professional background in economics, accounting, or finance
  • Ability to prepare clear and effective technical reports
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Comfort using multiple software applications and navigating computer systems
  • Ability to follow U.S. Bank policies and procedures, including its Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and applicable workplace conduct and safety requirements
  • A master’s degree or CPA certification is preferred
